Family photography - Sophie & Storm
There cannot be a better way to get all your family together, especially when you have a newborn, than an in-home photoshoot. You are saving time on travel, everyone is ready and all you have to do is just gather together in one space. Then just nip for a sandwich or a cup of coffee whenever you are free from your photoshoot, or even do some cheeky tidying up while baby is asleep and photographer is doing what she does best.
I met Sophie and Storm in their family home one Saturday morning. They freed up part of their living room for the photoshoot, which was ideal for all the family to gather together. We started with photos of all the family together and then moved to smaller group photos with mummy and both children, followed by daddy and both children.
Then it was time for the boys to have snack and we had the perfect opportunity to have lovely newborn baby and mummy time. Everyone was so relaxed and free to have a break when they needed one, which is very important with older children. They are usually so excited for a photographer to visit them and curious to see what is going to happen. After such excitement the comedown is very quick and they need a little pick up. Being at home is a great way to give them what they want, either with a snack or run around the garden, without interrupting the photoshoot. Win win by choosing photoshoot at your own home!
Little baby girl Demi enjoyed every minute with her mummy and daddy and the only distraction was her change of outfits. Apart from that she did not even notice me being there. Another win to keep baby calm and relaxed in a photo session at your home. No travel, no stress to get all the family to move, no stress of not knowing how baby will react in a new place. Just cuddles, full tummy with milk and little naps. Happy baby, happy family. And happy family, happy photographer!
