Family photography - Bethany & family
I realised I never shared this beautiful late autumn family session I had with Bethany and her new family. She chose to visit Bedford’s Priory Country Park as it was place that meant a lot for her and her partner. I love when families come to me with their favourite places for photoshoots. Priory Park is a place that keeps its most beautiful spots hidden from people and most walkers do not know how vast it is, and that there are bits with very few people around. Another reason why it is ideal for photoshoots. There is much more than just a walk around the main lake.
Bethany contacted me in early November and we were so lucky in England with a very late autumn that year. Tree leaves were still in bright colours, the weather was reasonably warm and dry. I still asked them all to be prepared and wear comfy shoes for a muddy walk. The safest option without ruining your good shoes.
This beautiful photoshoot was my favourite shoot of all. I could not believe how relaxed and natural this family felt. It was like they have been doing hours of posing. But that’s what you get when having fun. I always say, 'just forget I am there and enjoy this time with your family. Have a lovely time together. Give lovely smiles to each other, nice words, let your children run or make their first steps, let them dig in mud and explore. Just let it all go and be in the moment. Then you will see your true self and the love that surrounds you and your family. At the end of the day, a photoshoot should feel like another chore, but fun time together.
Because our photoshoot was so close to Christmas, Bethany really wanted to also capture some festive pictures that she could give as gift to her family. It was a great opportunity to make great memories for them and also make amazing gifts that will last lifetime. A quick change of outfits, and finding a more festive spot in the park just around the corner, made it all possible. Those pictures were postcard and pictureframe perfect in every single way!
When you are with the people you love the most in the places you love the most, magic will happen. And I am so happy that Bethany chose to save those precious moments of her beautiful and growing family with me.
